Noodle Tools Citations made simple. What is Noodle Tools? Noodle Tools is a citation creator which we have here in GV schools. You will be using it to create citations as well as using other tools listed below for all of middle school and high school. It is easy to use and you can save your projects and work on citing your sources as you work on your project. Do not use the "Library" tab in Blackboard.
NoodleTools gives you the option to create projects as a way to organize your sources. It also offers some other features, discussed in this video:. Adding sources through the form and exporting them to create a list of references are fairly straightforward. However, if you already have a pre-formatted citation and want to add it to NoodleTools without all the copying and pasting, this video should help:.
NoodleTools also includes an option for creating notecards and using them to make an outline. These videos and help docs will cover some of the common questions about this feature, if you choose to use it.
NoodleTools allows you to collaborate with classmates to share sources and work on your project, as well as with your professor. This section will cover how to link up with teammates as well as link your NoodleTools to your Google Docs account. A common question is how to switch between citation styles -- for example, if you accidentally set your project as Chicago but you need your sources in APA format. This video will answer that question. If you're having other problems, try the troubleshooting docs linked below or contact a librarian.
It looks like you're using Internet Explorer 11 or older. The following NoodleTools Chapter will give you specific citation guides to the most commonly cited sources.
